Rohman, learned counsel appearing for the accused applicant. Also heard Mr. B. Sharma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the State. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, praying for granting bail to the accused applicant, namely, Shri Bhaskar Das, in connection with Gaurisagar P.S Case No.11/2026, under Section 20(b)(ii) Page No.# 2/2 (B) of the NDPS Act, 1985 read with Section 4 of the Assam Ganja and Bhang Prohibition Act, 1958. 3. Mr. P.D Nair, learned senior counsel for the accused applicant submits that though the Ganja amounting to 2.46 Kg was recovered from the house of the accused applicant, the same is of intermediate quantity and the accused applicant does not have any criminal antecedent. He further submits that the accused applicant is behind the bars for almost 04(four) months and none of the prosecution witnesses named in the charge-sheet has been examined as yet. He submits that since the trial will take considerable time for its completion, at this stage, the accused applicant, who was arrested on 20.03.2026, should be granted bail. 4. TCR in the instant case has been received and the same is perused. 5. Mr. B. Sharma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail of the accused applicant. 6. Taking into account the fact that the seized narcotics were recovered from the house of the accused applicant and charge has been framed only on 08.06.2026 and none of the prosecution witnesses including the informant has been examined, this court is not inclined to grant any relief to the accused applicant at this stage. 7. Accordingly, the instant bail application stands rejected. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
