PATIL) This contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 08.03.2020 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.2314/2020. The operative portion of the said order reads as under: "(i) The writ petition is hereby allowed. (ii) Respondent Nos.3 and 4 are directed to consider the request of the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and take appropriate decision in accordance with law." 2. Learned Additional Government Advocate has filed a memo indicating that they have issued endorsement to the complainant on 10.02.2026 informing that they have taken steps to complete the phodi and durasthi work. 3. Memo reads as under: "The Respondents-Accused submit that the accused were directed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P.No.2314/2020 to conduct Phodi and Dhurasti in respect of the land in Sy.No.294/P3 situated at Shravanabelagola Hobli, Channarayapatna Taluk, - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8680-DB C.C.C. No.809/2024 measuring to the extent of 35 Gutnas. Accordingly, on verification of the record, it was found that certain records were missing and were not traced. Therefore, same was placed before the Missing Committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner. The Committee held its meeting on 09.02.2026 and approved the proposal made by the Accused No.2 to restore the file with respect to Sy.No.294 situated at Shravanabelagola Hobli, Channarayapatna Taluk. Accordingly, an endorsement was issued to the complainant on 10.02.2026 stating that name of the grantee in form No.1 to 5 online software is not found and as such to enter the name of grantee a permission is sought from the Commissioner, Revenue Commissionerate to enter the name of the Grantee and a necessary Dhurasti proceedings will be initiated immediately after obtaining the permission. The said copy of the endorsement is herewith produced for the kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court. WHEREFORE, under circumstances, the accused named above prays that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to took the endorsement on record and dropped the Contempt Petition, in the interest of justice and equity." 4. Learned AGA, on instructions submits that within a reasonable period of time, they would complete the entire exercise. 5. Said submission is placed on record. 6. In view of the aforesaid memo, the contempt proceedings are dropped. Liberty is reserved to the - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:8680-DB C.C.C.
