IA NO: 1 OF 2026 Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased Pleased to direct the Respondent No. 4 to release Rs. 10,00,000=00 (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) sanctioned vide Rc. No. B1/2626/2016-56, dt. 09.12.2016 for pursuing studies at abroad, along with 24% interest from the date of sanction i.e. 09.12.2016 and pass Counsel for the Petitioner: 1. GP FOR SOCIAL WELFARE 3 The Court made the following order: The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing the financial assistance of Rs. 10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only), to the petitioner’s son (Application I.D. No.OV2016107992) under the 'NTR Videshi Vidyadarana' Overseas Scholarship scheme, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. It is the specific case of the petitioner that his son, by name Ayyanki Ganesh, got an opportunity to pursue a Master of Business Analytics at Deakin University, Burwood, Melbourne, Australia. Thereafter, he applied for the Scholarship under “NTR Videshi Vidydarana” Overseas Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2018-19, vide Application I.D. No.OV2016107992. It is stated that he was entitled to financial assistance of Rs. 10,00,000/- for perusing his studies abroad, as per the sanction of funds by the Government. However, despite the sanction of funds by the Government, the financial assistance promised to the petitioner’s son was not disbursed. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the 4th respondent submits that the application of the Petitioner would be considered and the amount would be sanctioned, subject to the petitioner’s son fulfilling the conditions prescribed for the release of the said amount 4. As there is no dispute with regard to the entitlement of the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to 4 disburse the amount to the petitioner within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
