This is an application under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 praying for the grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, namely, Irshad Hussain @ Ali, in connection with Pragjyotispur P.S. Case No.45/2026, registered under Sections 69/351(2)/3(5) BNS, 2023. Page No.# 2/2 3. The gist of the allegation against the present petitioner is that he was in a love affair with the victim, who is aged about 21 years and upon a promise of marriage, she eloped with the petitioner. Subsequently, due to pressure from the parents of the petitioner, she was discarded by the petitioner, who got married to another person, upon being pressurized by his parents. The victim is pregnant because of the relationship with the petitioner. 4. It is alleged that the parents of the petitioner forcibly married him to another girl and concealed him from his family. 5. The case diary as called for has been received and perused. 6. On perusal of the case diary, it appears that pursuant to the interim protection granted by order dated 16.06.2026, the petitioner has appeared before the I.O. and his statement has also been recorded. 7. Having regard to the nature of the allegation, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not considered to be necessary. Accordingly, prayer for pre- arrest bail is allowed. The interim order dated 16.06.2026 is hereby made absolute on the same terms and conditions as mentioned in the interim order itself as may be applicable as on today. 8.
