JUSTICE RAJESH MAZUMDAR ORDER 22.01.2026 Heard Mr M G Singh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr B Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner had appeared before the Investigating Officer, as required by the order of this Court dated 29.08.2025. Page No.# 2/2 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has further submitted that the charge sheet in the matter has been submitted and on his appearance before the learned SDJM (M), Cachar, Lakhipur, on 22.12.2025, he has been granted bail, when the case was committed to the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Cachar, Assam. He was allowed to remain on his previous bail till the date for his appearance before the Court of Sessions, is fixed. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has, thus, prayed for the interim protection granted to him to be made absolute. 5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that there are no instructions to the contentions that the petitioner has appeared before the investigating authority and has also been allowed to remain on previous bail by the learned SDJM (M), Cachar, Lakhipur. 6. In view of the above, since the case is already committed to the learned Sessions Judge, Cachar, Assam, the interim protection granted to the petitioner by the order dated 29.08.2025, is hereby made absolute. 7.
