Mr. Gaurav Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner through video conferencing. Mr. Pradeep Lohani, learned A.G.A. for the State of Uttarakhand. 2. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of the impugned FIR dated 10.07.2026, registered as FIR No. 154 of 2026, under Sections 5 and 11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, at Police Station Kaliyar Shareef, District Haridwar. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that the petitioner neither slaughtered any cow progeny nor was he present at the spot. It is also submitted that nothing has been recovered from the possession of, or at the instance of, the present petitioner. 4. After arguing the matter at length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to surrender before the court concerned and seeks liberty to do so. 5. Learned State Counsel submits that he has no objection if the petitioner is permitted to surrender before the court concerned. 6. In view of the aforesaid, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn UKHC010141752026 2026:UHC:7082 with liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court concerned within a period of one month from today, i.e. on or before 11.09.2026. In the event the petitioner surrenders within the aforesaid period, he shall not be arrested pursuant to the impugned FIR dated 10.07.2026, provided he continues to cooperate with the investigation. Upon such surrender, it shall be open to the petitioner to seek appropriate relief before the competent court, in accordance with law.
