JUSTICE INDERJEET SINGH HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE BHUWAN GOYAL [2026:RJ-JP:24559-DB] (2 of 2) [HC-206/2026] Order 02/07/2026 This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the petitioner (grandfather) of the corpus. Today, the concerned police officer has produced the corpus i.e. four minor girls. We have intracted with them, they have stated before us that they want to live with maternal grandparents and maternal uncle. Considering the statement made by the children before us and also considering the fact that after death of their parents, they are living with their maternal grandparents and their maternal uncle and two of them are going to school at their place. In that view of the matter, we are of the considered view that the children are not in any illegal detention by anyone. Hence, this habeas corpus petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to take legal remedy with regard to custody of the children, if so advised. (BHUWAN GOYAL),J (INDERJEET SINGH),J JYOTI/4
