By means of this writ petition, they have sought a direction to give benefit of Section 31 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The relief sought in the writ petition is as follows:- UKHC010099702025 2026:UHC:7623 “(i) To issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 3 and 4 to pass the extended award of compensation to the petitioners under Section 31 of the Act, 2013 in term of the second schedule along with interest in respect of the land of the petitioners acquired under awards dated 11-10-2012 and dated 01-12-2012 passed by respondent no. 3. 6. Having regard to the pleadings made and relief sought in the writ petition, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met, if petitioners are permitted to approach District Collector, Haridwar, by making representation. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting petitioners to make representation. If they make representation, within three weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within four months thereafter.
