It is the contention of the petitioners that the petitioners have filed an application on 31.08.2016 seeking regularisation of unauthorised occupation of 1 acre 35 guntas of land in Sy.No.327 of Kodiyalakarenahalli Village, Bidadi Hobli, Ramanagara Taluk, Bangalore South District. However, the application has not been considered and no orders are passed till date. 3. Having regard to the contentions raised in the writ petition and submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent No.3-Tahsildar was duty bound to place the application filed by the petitioner before the ‘Committee for Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation’ and the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:14626 WP No. 6816 of 2026 Committee was also duty bound to consider the application and pass necessary orders. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.3-Tahsildar, Ramanagara Taluk, Bangalore South District, to verify from the records as to whether such application filed by the petitioners at Annexure-A dated 31.08.2016 is pending consideration. If it is found that such application was indeed filed by the petitioners and the application is yet to be considered, the Tahsildar is directed to place before the Committee for regularisation of unauthorised occupation, the applications along with his recommendation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the Committee shall consider the application and pass necessary orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:14626 WP No. 6816 of 2026 Ordered accordingly.
