These instant bail applications under Section 483 BNSS have been filed by the applicants in connection with the FIR No.158/2026 registered at the Police Station Vidyadharnagar, District Jaipur City (North) for the offences punishable under Section 8/18 of the NDPS Act. 2. Learned counsels for the applicants-Kunal and Kailash Meghvanshi jointly submit that recovery of 913gms opium has been effected from the vehicle-Honda Activa, which is less than the commercial quantity prescribed for the aforementioned contraband under the NDPS Act. Learned counsels further submit that the applicants-Kunal and Kailash Meghvanshi are in custody since the date of their arrest. 3. Learned counsel for the applicant-Lokesh Carpenter submits that there is no recovery at the instance of the applicant-Lokesh Carpenter and he has been implicated as an accused on the basis of the confessional statement of co-accused persons. She further submits that the applicant-Lokesh Carpenter is also in custody since the date of his arrest. 4. Learned counsels jointly submit that the trial will take its own time to conclude, so indulgence of bail be granted to the applicants. 5. Per contra, learned Public Prosecutor opposed the instant bail applications and submitted that these matters are still at the investigation stage. Learned Public Prosecutor further submits that [2026:RJ-JP:25053] (3 of 3) [CRLMB-8935/2026] the applicant-Kailash Meghvanshi is a habitual offender against whom two other cases also have been registered in Arain, Ajmer. Hence, the applicants do not deserve indulgence of bail under BNSS. 6. Heard and considered the submissions made at the Bar and perused the material available on record. 7. Considering the arguments put forward by learned Public Prosecutor and looking to the fact that since the matters are still at the stage of investigation, this Court is not inclined to entertain these instant bail applications. Accordingly, the instant bail applications stand dismissed at this stage. 8. However, the applicants would be at liberty to renew their prayer for bail after completion of investigation and submission of the charge-sheet. (ANOOP KUMAR DHAND),J 22-24/Karan
