5. It was presented for registration before the second respondent. The document was registered. To cancel the same, the writ petitioner filed W.P.(MD)No.2811 of 2023. W.A.(MD)No.1807 of 2023 3.When once a document has been registered, the registering authority would lack the jurisdiction to cancel the same. It is only the Civil Court that can grant the relief sought for by the appellant. The learned Single Judge had not gone into the merits of the matter at all. We are therefore of the view that interference with the said order is not warranted. The writ appeal stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
