The present Criminal Writ Petition has been filed seeking adequate police protection for the victim and her family members. 3. It has been averred in the Writ Petition that respondent no. 5 was making threatening calls to the victim with a view to compelling her to retract the statement made by her before the Court and was also pressuring her to enter into a compromise in the matter. 4. On this issue, learned State Counsel was directed to seek instructions. 5. Today, on the basis of the written instructions received, learned State Counsel submits that it has come to light that no such threatening calls have been made by respondent no. 5. It is further submitted that the statement of the victim has also been recorded, wherein she has stated that she has not received any threatening calls from respondent no. 5. 6. In view of the aforesaid submission, nothing further survives for consideration in the present petition. Accordingly, the present Criminal Writ Petition is disposed of.
