WP No. 12810 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 5 For Respondent(s): Mr.D.Ravichander, Special Government Pleader ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 3rd respondent to sub-divide and issue separate patta for the property, more fully disclosed in the prayer to the writ petition, based on the petitioner’s representation dated 31.01.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. The larger extent of the property has been sub-divided between the petitioner and his mother. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the 3rd respondent dated 31.01.2026 seeking for issuance of sub-divided patta in favour of the petitioner as well as her mother. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3. Mr.D.Ravi Chander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of respondents. 4. At the outset, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner will have to submit a fresh on-line application before the 3rd respondent seeking for issuance of Sub-divided patta. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions submitted that the petitioner is willing to submit a fresh on-line application. 6.
No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner’s application is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 7. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s application. 8. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh on-line application to the 3rd respondent seeking for issuance of the sub-divided patta, for the property more fully described in the prayer to the writ petition, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said on-line application within the stipulated time, the 3rd respondent, shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
