Zaid Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State assisted by Mr. Ajit Kumar, learned counsel for the informant. The petitioner is an accused in connection with S. T. No. 585 of 2025 arising out of Pithoria P.S. Case No. 93 of 2023. It has been alleged that when the informant party had reached for taking possession over a piece of land, they were obstructed and assaulted by the petitioner and others resulting in serious injuries to the father and uncle of the informant. The uncle of the informant namely, Ashok Sahu had subsequently died. Though, submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that several of the co-accused persons have been granted bail by this court, but the case of the petitioner appears to be on a different footing as the petitioner was alleged to have assaulted on the head of the deceased with a farsa which finds corroboration from the post mortem report. Regard being had to the above, I am not inclined to admit the appellant on bail and his prayer for bail is hereby rejected at this stage. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J) R. Shekhar Cp 3
