Petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to respondent No.1-Nagar Nigam, Almora, to make payment of family pension and other retiral dues payable to her late husband, Kripal. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that her husband was working with respondent No.1-Nagar Nigam, Almora (then Nagar Palika Parishad, Almora) as Sweeper/Paryavaran Mitra and, after completion of his services, he retired on 30.06.1995. However, the husband of the petitioner met with a sad demise on 11.03.2008. 3. Petitioner contends that her husband has not been paid any benefit towards gratuity and other admissible dues, and further, she has not been sanctioned family pension by respondent no.1. 4. Learned counsel for respondent no.1-Nagar Nigam, Almora, submits that petitioner has moved representations to respondent no.1 on 24.07.2025 and 15.12.2025 (annexure nos.4 & 5 to the writ petition), claiming the aforesaid benefits, which are pending UKHC010134442026 2026:UHC:7695 2 disposal. He further submits that if a direction is issued to respondent no.1 to consider and take a decision on the aforesaid representations, the ends of justice would be met. 5. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the parties, this Court is inclined to decide the present writ petition finally. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is finally disposed of, with a direction to respondent no.1-Nagar Nigam, Almora/Municipal Commissioner, to take a decision on the petitioner’s representations dated 24.07.2025 and 15.12.2025 (annexure nos.4 & 5 to the writ petition) within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, sympathetically and after examining all aspects of the matter in accordance with law. 7. Pending application, if any, stands disposed of accordingly.
