Kausik CRM (NDPS) 632 of 2026 In Re: An Application for Bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023/ Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 in connection with Gangarampur Police Station Case No. 779 of 2025 dated 10.12.2025 under sections 21(c)/22(c)/23(c)/27A/28/29 of the NDPS Act, 1985. And In the matter of : Ainur Rahaman @ Ainur Rahman ……Petitioner. Mr. Aniruddha Bhattacharyya Ms. Rai Das Ms. Anushka Bose ……for the Petitioner. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been implicated in the instant case on alleged recovery of 154 Gms. of Yaba Tablets. Petitioner is in custody for 4 months and 7 days and charge sheet has been submitted. As such, learned advocate prays for bail on any stringent condition. Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, submits that State would put in efforts for taking the trial to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. Having regard to the quantum of seizure of the contraband, I am of the view that the rigors of Section 37 of the NDPS Act is attracted. 2 As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (NDPS) 632 of 2026 is rejected. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
