ORAL ORDER
1. In this writ petition, the petitioners have sought for the following relief/s:
“i) Issue a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider petitioners' representations submitted on 24/10/2025 (produced vide Annexure - 'E & E1') to the writ petition in accordance with law and, ii) Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioners on permanent basis in the post of lecturers against which they are working by declaring that the petitioners are entitled for regularization/

absorption on permanent basis and they are entitled for the benefit granted to similarly situated persons under University of Mysuru (Absorption/Regularization of temporary fulltime/part time lecturers) Statute 2004 by considering the judgement dated 23/04/2019 passed in W.P. No.51342/2016 and other connected matters (produced vide Annexure- 'F') to the writ petition and, iii) Issue a writ of mandamus and declare that the action of the respondents No.2 in calling for fresh notification for the appointment of Physical Education Teaches/ Asst. Director of Physical Education in the Department of Physical Education for the next ensuing years are contrary to the law declared in Manish Gupta and Another Vs. President Jan Bhagidari Samithi and Others (produced vide Annexure- 'H') to the writ petition and continue their services in their respective post till the regular appointments are made and, iv) Issue any other writ, order or direction and such other and further relief as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the ends of justice.”
2. The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners are working in non-teaching posts in respondent No.2-University

and have been continuously serving for 10 years. Hence, the petitioners submitted representations dated 24.10.2025 vide Annexures-E and E1 to respondent No.2–University seeking regularization of their services. However, the respondent- University has failed to consider their request. As the same have not been considered, the present writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the representations vide Annexures-E and E1, in accordance with law.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2- University submits that in an identical matter, this Court has
disposed of W.P.No.20452/2022 dated 06.11.2025. Therefore, it is submitted that this writ petition may also be disposed of in terms of the said writ petition. The same is not disputed by the respondents.
4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the following order is passed:
ORDER a) The writ petition is disposed of.

b) Respondent No.2-University is directed to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 24.10.2025 vide Annexures-E and E1, keeping in view the law laid down by the Hon’ble Apex Court, in the cases of MANISH GUPTA AND ANR vs. PRESIDENT, JAN BHAGIDARI SAMITI AND ORS, reported in (2022) 15 SCC 540, DHARAM SINGH AND ORS. vs. STATE OF U.P. AND ANR reported in AIR 2025 SC 3897 and JAGGO vs.
UNION OF INDIA AND ORS. reported in 2024 SCC Online SC 3826, in accordance with law, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. c) If the petitioners are presently in service, they shall not be discontinued from service until their representations are considered and appropriate orders are passed. All pending applications, if any, stand disposed of.
