Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos.2 and 3 has placed on record the order of the Standing Committee, whereby it has been resolved to process the research work of Part-time and Extramural Research Scholars and complete the award of Ph.D. degrees by 31st December,
2026. 2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the writ petition may be disposed of, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to complete his Ph.D. by enabling him to comply with the requirement of payment of the extension fee. 3. Considering the submissions and recording the instructions submitted by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos.2 and 3, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to comply with the requirements for submission of his thesis and payment of the requisite fee for completion of the course. 4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed off. There shall be no order as to costs.
