After arguing for a while, when the learned counsel for the petitioners was confronted with the maintainability of the instant writ petition, he submits that the petitioners would feel satisfied, if the present writ present is disposed at this stage with a direction to the respondent No.4-Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Shopian, to treat the same as representation and accord consideration to the same in accordance with law, within some reasonable timeframe. 02. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Alla Ud Din Ganai, learned Additional Advocate General enters appearance on behalf of respondents and is not averse to the disposal of the present petition at this stage or else to the submission made by the counsel for the petitioner. However, he submits that the representation of the petitioners would be considered in accordance with the rules and as per law occupying the field. 03. Heard learned counsel for the parties at length and perused the record. 04. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the very threshold as an innocuous prayer has been made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and the same is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.4-Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Shopian, to treat this writ petition as representation on behalf of the petitioners and accord consideration to the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order along with copy of writ petition and the annexures appended thereto, strictly in conformity with the rules and as per law. While according consideration to the representation of the petitioner, due weightage shall be given to the communication dated 8th April, 2026, addressed by the Director, Rural Development Department, Kashmir to the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Shopian (respondent No. 4 herein). The order of consideration which is likely to be passed by the respondent No. 4 be forwarded to the petitioners by registered post. 05. Writ petition disposed of along with connected application(s) in the manner indicated above.
