Power Grid Corporation of India has challenged the judgment and order dated 30.03.2018, passed by First Additional District Judge, Rishikesh, District Dehradun in Misc. Case No. 104 of 2001, filed by respondents under Section 16 of Indian Telegraph Act, read with Section 42 of Electricity (Supply) Act and Section 51 of Indian Electricity Act. 3. It is not in dispute that petitioner erected high tension power transmission line on the agricultural field of the respondents due to which the crop standing over the agricultural fields was damaged. UKHC010014642018 2026:UHC:7356 Respondents approached the Court concerned for compensation. Court concerned assessed the damage caused to the standing crops and also to the land belonging to respondents and determined that respondents are entitled the compensation amounting to Rs. 4,94,528/-. Petitioner has challenged the said determination. 4. Since the amount payable as compensation has been determined by Court concerned after examining all relevant aspects and the finding returned is a finding of fact, therefore, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the same, while exercising supervisory powers under Article 227 of the Constitution. 5.
