Lesliganj, District Palamu, Jharkhand at present residing at Vill- Lahlahe, Sinduriya, P.O.+ P.S.- Satbarwa, Dist Palamu, Jharkhand .... Petitioner(s). Versus The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party(s). ------ CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J. ------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Sudhanshu Shekhar, Advocate For the State : Mr. Prabhu Dayal Agrawal, Spl. P.P. …...... 02/ 16.03.2026: This bail application has been filed under Sections 483 & 484 of BNSS, 2023 wherein, prayer has been made for grant of bail as he is in custody for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 18(b) & 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act. 2. Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order. 3. Learned Spl. P.P. opposes the prayer for bail. 4. There is an allegation that house of one of the co-accused has been raided on the suspicion that he is dealing with drugs. Once he was arrested, he confessed that this petitioner is one of persons who use to visit him to purchase materials from him. 5. Admittedly, the petitioner has not been arrested from the spot. There is nothing recovered from his possession and only on the basis of the confessional statement of co-accused that petitioner used to visit the main offender, this petitioner has been made an accused. 6. Considering the aforesaid material, which is available in the case diary, I find no ground to detain the petitioner thus, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sessions Judge, Palamau at Daltonganj, in connection with Manatu P.S. Case No.02 of 2026, subject to the condition that one of the bailors should be a close relative of the petitioner, having sufficient landed property in his own name within the State of Jharkhand.
