Deuri for the petitioner Hiteswar Sonowal @ Sudiptta Sonowal, who has filed this application under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 with prayer for bail as he is behind the bars since 14.05.2026 in connection with Doomdooma Police Station Case

2. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he has been behind bars for 61 (Sixty One) days and thus, the statutory period in connection with this case under Sections 61(2)/308(4)/351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, is only 60 (Sixty) days, which has already elapsed.
3. Heard learned Additional Public Prosecutor Mr. M.P. Goswami for the respondent State, who has obtained instructions that charge sheet has not been submitted and it is submitted that 61 (Sixty One) days has elapsed.
4. I have considered the length of detention and the petitioner Hiteswar Sonowal @ Sudiptta Sonowal is hereby enlarged on bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand) with a suitable surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Illaqa Magistrate/Jurisdictional Court under the conditions that :- (i) the petitioner shall cooperate with the remaining part of the investigation, (ii) the petitioner shall refrain from such activities with which he is alleged and, (iii) the petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Court without prior permission.
5. In terms of the above observation, this Bail Application stands disposed of. JUDGE
