The petitioner submitted a representation dated 12.10.2017 to the respondents seeking house site patta as per circular dated 17.10.2019 passed by the third respondent. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 4. Learned Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5 and 7, submits that the Director of Survey and Settlement, Chennai, is the competent authority to take appropriate action in this regard. However, the petitioner has not impleaded him as a party to this writ petition. 5. In view of the above submissions, this Court suo motu impleads the Director of Survey and Settlement, Chennai, as the seventh respondent and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the seventh respondent/ Director of Survey and Settlement to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 12.10.2017 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)No.17357 of 2025 6.
