The petitioner, above-named who is in custody since 19.08.2025 in connection with Hunterganj (Chatra) P.S. Case No.140 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 318(4), 274 / 275 / 3(5) of the BNS, 2023 and 47(a) of the Excise Act has moved for regular bail. As per the prosecution case, huge quantity of foreign liquor was seized in about 11 cartoons from a desolate place and the petitioner was apprehended on the spot. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that he has no concern with the seized liquor and was apprehended on mere suspicion and further he has no criminal antecedent. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail. Considering the same, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
