Hon’ble Alok Kumar Verma,J. This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the Order dated 24.12.2025, passed in Writ Petition (SS) No. 2114 of 2018, “Trepan Singh Rana Vs. State of Uttarakhand and Others”. By the said Order, following direction was issued :- “6. Accordingly, writ petition is allowed and orders impugned are quashed. The respondents are directed to reinstate the petitioner forthwith, however, reinstatement shall be subject to the final outcome of the Criminal Trial No. 03 of 2018 pending in the court of 4th Additional Session Judge, Dehradun.” 2. Heard Mr. Amar Murti Shukla, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Jagdish Singh Bisht, learned Standing Counsel for the State. 3. Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Engineer-in-Chief, Public 1 2026:UHC:1783 Works Department, the respondent no.3, is present through video conferencing. 4. Mr. Amar Murti Shukla, Advocate and Mr. Jagdish Singh Bisht, Standing Counsel submitted that the Order dated 24.12.2025 has been stayed in Special Appeal No. 48 of 2026. 5. Mr. Amar Murti Shukla, Advocate, has requested on instruction to permit the petitioner Trepan Singh Rana to withdraw the present contempt petition with a liberty to file afresh after disposal of the said special appeal, if required. 6. The present civil contempt petition (CLCON No.44 of 2026) is dismissed as withdrawn granting liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh contempt petition, as prayed, but in accordance with law. ___________________ ALOK KUMAR VERMA, J.
