02 /23.03.2026: This bail application has been filed by the petitioner under Sections 483 & 484 of BNSS, 2023 wherein, prayer has been made for grant of bail as he is in custody for allegedly committing offence punishable under Sections 303(2), 317(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
2. Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and have also gone through the impugned order.
3. Learned APP opposes the prayer for bail.
4. It is alleged that this petitioner and his female associate entered the jewellery showroom. The female associate of this petitioner stolen the chain weighing 17.80 grams (22KT) and value of which is Rs. 2,23,756/-. Admittedly the material was recovered from the female associate who has lifted the chain and concealed it in her apparels.
5. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties and after going through the record, I find that the petitioner is in custody since 17.10.2025 and the maximum punishment is three years and the case is triable by the Magistrate.
6. Considering the aforesaid fact, I am inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is

directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned JMFC XXXI, Ranchi in connection with Sukhdeonagar PS Case No. 540 of 2025 subject to the condition that one of the bailors should be a close relative of the petitioner, having sufficient landed property in his/her own name within the State of Jharkhand with a further condition that the petitioner shall appear and mark his attendance before the Registrar, Civil Court, Ranchi once in a month till disposal of the trial.
7. Accordingly, this bail application is allowed.
