Mr. Amit Kumar Ghosh ….for the Petitioner Mr. Asif Dewan ….for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the failure of the WBSEDCL in providing an electricity connection to the submersible pump belonging to the petitioner. On behalf of the WBSEDCL, it is submitted that there are techno economic considerations which disentitle the petitioner to an electricity connection. The estimated cost for providing such connection to the petitioner is approximately is in excess of Rs. 4,50,000/- In view of the Report filed by the WBSEDCL, there is no scope of passing any order of the writ petition. A copy of the Report is handed over to the petitioner for necessary compliance. In view of the above, WPA 8136 of 2026 stands dismissed. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to take necessary steps, if so advised in accordance with law. (RAVI KRISHAN KAPUR, J.)
