Petitioner had applied for grant of first spell of furlough as per Delhi Prison Rules, 2018 and the grievance raised in the present petition is to the effect that his such request has not been adjudicated. 2. Learned Standing Counsel for State appears on advance notice and accepts notice and submits that he has yet not received any instructions but the present petition can be disposed of by giving direction to the Competent Authority to decide the aforesaid application in a time-bound manner, particularly in view of the fact that it is pending since 17.01.2026. 3. Learned counsel for petitioner also does not press for any further relief if the direction to that effect is given. 4. In view of the above, present petition is disposed with direction to the Competent Authority to decide the representation dated 17.01.2026 within This is a digitally signed order.
