This is an office reference. 2. This Court, vide order dated 15.07.2025 passed in MCRC No. 5498 of 2025, while allowing the bail of the applicant, namely, Vivek Singh Kshatri, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four months, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on one occasion also this Court had granted extension of KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 time for compliance of the order dated 15.07.2025. 4. The learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bilaspur District- Bilaspur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 04.04.2026 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the evidence of the Investigating Officer has been completed over the course of 09 hearing dates and thereafter, the evidence of the judicial officers has been commenced. Out of a total of 27 witnesses, the statements of 22 prosecution witnesses have already been recorded. It is further revealed that due to the time consumed in recording the evidence of the Investigating Officer and the ongoing examination of other judicial officers, the case could not be disposed of within the stipulated period. However, sincere efforts are being made for the early disposal of the case. It is also pertinent to mention that apart from regular cases, the concerned Court is also dealing with matters pertaining to Traffic Virtual Court, Cyber Crime, Excise, Traffic cases, Reserve Centre Civil Lines and City Kotwali, and approximately 2200 criminal cases are presently pending before this Court. Due to the heavy pendency and non-appearance of witnesses on scheduled dates, delay has occurred in the disposal of the present case. Nevertheless, in compliance with the directions of this Court, earnest efforts are being made to conclude the matter expeditiously. Therefore, it is most respectfully prayed that additional time of four months may graciously be granted for final disposal of the case. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 3 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
