This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:- “(i) issue a writ of mandamus or any other suitable writ, order or direction directing the Respondents to issue revised recognition order for 100 Seats of B.Ed. Course to the Petitioner institution under NCTE Regulations, 2014; and/or (ii) issue direction/order holding that the recognition granted to the petitioner for B.Ed. course continues to be in operation under the NCTE Act and the petitioner be treated as a recognized institution for all purposes and the respondents be directed to take all consequential steps including correcting This is a digitally signed order. The facts are that the petitioner submitted documents in the prescribed proforma to NRC for compliance of NCTE Regulations, 2014 seeking revised recognition for 100 seats. The said representation is pending consideration by the respondent No. 1. 3. My attention has been drawn to an Order dated 16.05.2025 in W.P(C) 5765/2025 wherein in somewhat similar circumstances the coordinate bench allowed the petition directing the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner. 4. Accordingly, on the basis of parity, it is directed that the respondent shall decide the request of the petitioner institution for issuance of revised recognition of petitioner institution for 100 seats expeditiously and preferably within 8 weeks from today. 5.
