It is alleged that Mr. Yakub went missing on 04.06.2026, and petitioner apprehends that respondent nos.5 to 9 are instrumental in his vanishing. 4. Learned State Counsel was given time to get instructions in the matter. On instructions, learned State Counsel submits that an FIR has been registered by one Aalam with the statement that his daughter has gone missing, and the said FIR was registered under Section 140(3) of the BNS at Police Station Patel Nagar, District Dehradun, on 19.07.2026. He further submits that, during investigation, it is revealed that petitioner Yakub has eloped with the daughter of informant, Aalam.
