Case No. 175 of 2025 corresponding to N.D.P.S. No.135 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 18(c)/22(c)/25 of the N.D.P.S. Act pending in the Court of learned Special Judge (N.D.P.S.), Ranchi, is pressed into motion. As per the prosecution case, two accused persons were apprehended with 1.7 Kg. of opium slung in a bag from a motorcycle. The petitioner was standing near the bike from which opium was seized. It is submitted that admittedly the motorcycle belongs to the petitioner however, he has no concern with the seized narcotics and that he has no criminal antecedent. It is submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 17.07.2025 and the seized narcotics is of intermediate quantity. After investigation, charge sheet has already been submitted. Learned A.P.P. opposed the bail petition. Under the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below along with security deposit of Rs.25,000/.
