Inter-alia contends that it is not disputed that the land of the writ petitioners was acquired for the construction of “Bangora-Jokhaghati” road in Mauza Baag, Tehsil Shimla (Rural), District Shimla, H.P. in the year 1985-86 and, though, the learned Single Judge has protected the State to the extent that compensation would only be granted considering the market price as was on 01.01.1985 and excluded the interest from 17.05.1996 and even the legal notice was sent on 05.12.2021, but there is no reason given by the learned Single Judge as to why the interest from 17.05.1996 till filing of the writ petition in the year 2023, was excluded. It is further submitted that similar issue is already pending consideration before this Court in LPA No. 337 of 2025, State of H.P. & others versus Punit Bashtu. Keeping in view the above and the averments contained in the application, which is duly supported by the affidavit of the official concerned, delay of 235 days in filing the appeal is condoned. Accordingly, the application is disposed of. Appeal be registered. Notice be issued to the respondents returnable within four weeks, on taking steps within one week. List this matter alongwith LPA No. 337 of 2025. CMPST No. 23426 of 2025 Operation and execution of the impugned judgment dated 15.07.2025, passed by the learned Single Judge in CWP No. 7467 of 2023, titled as Mehar Singh & others Vs.
