Kausik (Rejected) CRM (NDPS) 490 of 2026 In Re: An Application for Bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023/ Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 in connection with Karimpur Police Station Case No. 129 of 2024 dated June 29, 2024 under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of the NDPS Act. And In the matter of : Ritu Khan & Anr. ……Petitioners. Mr. Navanil De Mr. Srinjan Ghosh ……for the Petitioner. Mr. Avishek Sinha Ms. Ankita Pal ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that in the present case the prosecution witnesses itself did not support its case, although the alleged recovery is of 150 Kgs. of Ganja. It has been submitted that prosecution has relied upon 23 witnesses, out of which 12 witnesses have been examined. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that all efforts are being exerted by the State to conclude the trial at the earliest. Having considered the quantum of seizure, as a matter of last chance, I grant 6 months time to the prosecution to conclude all the witnesses. 2 With the aforesaid observations, CRM (NDPS) 490 of 2026 is dismissed. Liberty is granted to the State to communicate this order to the learned Trial Court. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
