This petition under Section 482 BNSS is filed by the petitioner, namely, Babu Ali @ Babul Hoque, apprehending arrest in connection with Goroimari P.S. Case No. 94/2025 registered u/s 191(3)/126/308(5)/109/118(2)/303(2) of BNS, 2023. 3. The case arose out of an ejahar dated 21.10.2025 naming five accused persons and unnamed others. The gist of the allegations is that on 11.10.2025 in the early hours he was going towards Jambari with 6 cattle in his vehicle, whereupon the accused persons blocked the road and demanded Rs. one lakh and he paid Rs.10,000/- but for the remaining, they attacked him and one Sukur Ali was inflicted with cut injuries on his hand. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn my attention to para 6 of the bail petition. It is submitted that the petitioner and his father are running a business of engine boat in Brahmaputra River for transportation of goods and had a business transaction with the informant during which money was due and one the day of the incident, he had gone to ask for the money whereupon there was some minor quarrel. However, the informant exaggerated the incident and lodged the FIR. It is stated that no incident of assault or attempt to kill as alleged or extortion has taken place. 5. Case diary as called for has been received along with the injury report Page No.# 3/3 which indicates simple injuries only. 6. Considering the above, and having regard to the nature of the allegations, the prayer for pre-arrest bail is allowed. The order of interim pre-arrest bail dated 13.03.2026 is hereby made absolute, under the same terms and conditions. 7. The petition stands disposed of. 8. Send back the case diary.
