No 14691/2026 dt. 21.05.2026 by this Hon’ble Court under the provisions of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 Counsel for the Petitioners: P NARASIMHULU Counsel for the Respondents: M CHALAPATHI The Court made the following order: 3 GTK,J C.C.No.2879 of 2026 ORDER: Heard, Sri Ratna Prakash, learned Counsel representing Sri Narasimhulu Parise, learned Counsel for the petitioners, and Sri M.Chalapathi, learned Standing Counsel for Acharya Nagarjuna University- respondents. 2. This Contempt Case is filed on the ground that the orders passed by this Court on 21.05.2026 in W.P.No.14691 of 2026 were not complied with and to substantiate the same, it is stated in the accompanying affidavit as follows: “However, the respondents herein without adhering the directions of this Hon'ble Court and constitute a three member committee through proceedings, dated 10.06.2026, wherein categorically held that to submit the final report within ten days and, subsequently, pursuant to said proceedings, issued a notice, dated 27.07.2026, to the petitioners for calling objections in respect of provisional seniority list published on 05.11.2025 and further directed them to appear before the three men committee on 01.08.2026”. 3. Owing to the above said submission, this Court directed issuance of notice to the respondents, calling upon them to show cause as to why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against them. 4. Today, when the matter is called, learned Standing Counsel, M.Chalapathi, placed on record the written instructions, wherein it is stated that the University has not undertaken any exercise contrary to or in violation of the interim direction passed by this Court and the University has duly adhered to the directions of the Hon’ble Court and 4 GTK,J C.C.No.2879 of 2026 has not proceeded with the finalization of the seniority list pending further orders. Paragraph Nos.9 and 10 of the said written instructions read as follows: “9. It is further submitted that the Respondent University has not undertaken any exercise contrary to or in violation of the aforesaid interim direction of the Hon'ble High Court. The University has duly adhered to the directions of the Hon'ble Court and has not proceeded with finalization of the seniority list pending further orders. 10. In view of the above facts and circumstances, it is respectfully submitted that there is no wilful or deliberate disobedience of the orders of the Hon'ble High Court on the part of the Respondent University or its authorities. The Respondent University has acted bona fide and in strict compliance with the interim directions issued by the Hon'ble Court. 5. In view of the said statement made in the Written instructions, the relevant paragraphs of which have been extracted above, this Court is of the view that no further orders are necessary in the present Contempt Case. 6. In fine, Contempt Case No.2879 of 2026 is closed.
