By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing no. 0004/2020, registered at Police Station Vivek Vihar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 135/138/150 of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003 and all consequent proceedings emanating therefrom. 4. All the petitioners and the Authorized Representative of respondent no. 2/BSES are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned from Police Station Vivek Vihar, Delhi. 6. Brief facts of the case are that on 02.01.2020, the respondent no. 2/BSES got registered a case against the petitioners under relevant sections of law for theft of electricity. It is stated that after completion of investigation, the chargesheet in this case has been filed before the concerned court. It is stated that the petitioners have cleared all the dues and the matter has been settled and the respondent no.2/BSES had issued No Dues letter dated 13.01.2026. 7. On a query made by this Court, the Authorized Representative of respondent no. 2/BSES stated that the entire dues in this case have been cleared by the petitioners and he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8. In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, pressure and threat, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9. Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 0004/2020, registered at Police Station Vivek Vihar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 135/138/150 of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
