The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Hunterganj P.S. Case No. 140 of 2025, registered under sections 318(4)/274/275/3(5) of the BNS, 2023 and under section 47(a) of Excise Act, pending in the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, Chatra. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that allegations are made that foreign liquor has been recovered from the forest area. He further submits that the name of the petitioner has come in the confessional statement of one Ashok Saw and petitioner has got no criminal antecedent which is disclosed in para 8 of the petition. He next submits that co-accused have been granted anticipatory bail in A.B.A. Nos. 7017 of 2025 and 968 of 2026. On these grounds, he submits that the petitioner may kindly be provided privilege of anticipatory bail. 4. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that the name of the petitioner has come in the confessional statement. 5. Considering that the name of the petitioner has come in the 2026:JHHC:13111 2 confessional statement and he has got no criminal antecedent which is disclosed in para 8 of the petition and co-accused have been granted anticipatory bail in the aforesaid A.B.As, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the above named, petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned court within two weeks from today and in the event of his surrender / arrest, the petitioner, above named, shall be released on bail, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, Chatra, in connection with Hunterganj P.S. Case No. 140 of 2025, subject to conditions as laid down under Section 482 (2) of B.N.S.S, 2023. ( Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, J.) 04.05.2026 SI/
