By means of this writ petition, the petitioner has sought indulgence of this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to grant benefit of selection grade to the petitioner, counting his service from the date of his initial appointment in the Sanatan Dharm Inter College (Bannu) Race Course Road, Dehradun and further to direct the respondents to pay the difference of arrear of salary along with 18% interest per annum. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was initially appointed in Institution i.e., Sanatan Dharm Inter College (Bannu) Race Course Road, Dehradun on 15.12.2003 as a P.T.A. Teacher and thereafter on 14.07.2009 the petitioner was granted ad-hoc status and was paid salary directly from the school which is undoubtedly under the grant-in-aid. Vide order dated 15.03.2016, petitioner was regularized as Assistant Teacher (Commerce) w.e.f., 17.11.2015. 3. Petitioner claims selection grade on the basis of long service put in by him as an ad-hoc teacher. The said benefit has not been granted to the petitioner which 1 UKHC010132182026 2026:UHC:6532 according to him made him entitled for the selection grade w.e.f., 14.07.2019. 4. According to learned counsel for the petitioner he is entitled to get the selection grade counting the aforesaid service put in by him as ad-hoc teacher. 5. Petitioner has submitted various representations to respondent no.4 and the latest amongst them is the representation dated 09.06.2026 which was forwarded by respondent no.4-Manager, Sanatan Dharm Inter College (Bannu) Race Course Road, Dehradun to respondent no.3- Chief Education Officer, Dehradun. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that ends of justice would be met if this Court directs the respondent no.3-Chief Education Officer, Dehradun, to decide the representation/application of the petitioner dated 09.06.2026 within a stipulated time period. 7. Learned counsel for the State has no objection if such a direction is issued to respondent no.3. 8. Accordingly writ petition stands disposed of. Respondent no.3-Chief Education Officer, Dehradun, is directed to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 09.06.2026, annexure no.8 to the writ petition, within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order, strictly, in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
