This bail application has been filed on behalf of Vivek Bhagat @ Vivek Kumar who is in custody since 08.09.2025 in connection with Ghaghra P.S. Case No. 96 of 2024 for the offence registered under Sections 64(1), 82(1), 351(2), 3(5), 115(2) of BNS, 2023 pending in the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Gumla. F.I.R was lodged on 06.12.2024 with an allegation that since 2023 on false promise of marriage, the petitioner had physically and sexually exploited the prosecutrix and had also extorted a sum of Rs. 60,000/- from her. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of the petitioner that the prosecutrix is aged about 34 years and the instant case has been lodged after more than one year of the incidence. It is also submitted that as per the prosecutrix, she was daily wage labourer and could not give any detail of the extorted amount. Learned A.P.P. opposed the prayer for bail. Under the circumstances, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
