The case set up by the petitioner is that he is holding self-protection armed licence with validity upto 31.01.2025; The petitioner applied for renewal of said armed licence and also for extending the area for carrying the armed licence in States of Himachal Pradesh & Punjab and also Union Territory, Chandigarh. Application was submitted by the petitioner on 30.01.2025. The case file shows that the concerned Superintendent of Police, Police District, Baddi sent his report to the District Magistrate, 1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 District Solan on 21.03.2025. Petitioner’s grievance is that till date, District Magistrate has not taken any decision on the application of the petitioner. 3. Keeping in view the grievance of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to District Magistrate, Solan to take appropriate call on application of petitioner under reference in accordance with law within four weeks.
