JUSTICE PARTHIVJYOTI SAIKIA ORDER Date : 24.06.2026 Heard the learned counsel Mr. S Deka appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. Bhaskar Sarma, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of pre- arrest bail in respect of Tinsukia P.S. Case No. 117/2026. 3. It is alleged in the FIR that the petitioners Sri Manjit Phukan, Sri Lakshyajit Phukan, Sri Himangshu Gogoi and Sri Arindom Thapa had assaulted a person called Nayanjyoti Gogoi. The medical report available in the record shows that the injured suffered simple injury. 4. Considering the aforesaid facts, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioners do not deserve to be detained in custody. 5. Accordingly the Anticipatory Bail Application of the petitioner is allowed. 6. Therefore, the interim bail granted by this Court to the petitioner Sri Himangshu Gogoi on 04.06.2026 is hereby made absolute. 7. It is further directed that in the event of arrest in connection with Tinsukia P.S. Case No. 117/2026, the petitioners, namely, Sri Manjit Phukan, Lakshyajit Phukan and Sri Arindom Thapa shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- each with sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority. 8. With the aforesaid direction, the Anticipatory Bail Application is disposed of. The CD shall be returned. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
