This petition under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 has been filed by the accused-petitioner, namely, Bablu Mahato, praying for grant of bail in connection with Doomdooma P.S. Case No.73/2026 under Sections 303(2)/61(2)/3(5) of BNS read with Section 13(1) of Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021. Page No.# 2/2 3. Case diary as called for is received. 4. The instant case was lodged with the allegation of carrying cattle in Tata Magic vehicle and that the cattle (cows) also tied in crucial manner. Large number of people gathered there and apprehended the vehicle. 5. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he is the owner of the alleged vehicle and he had come to the police station on that day to lodge complaint regarding theft of the said vehicle but the police suspecting him to be involved in the alleged theft of the cow arrested him on 18.05.2026. 6. The investigation has reasonably progressed. 7. In that circumstances, it is provided that the accused petitioner named above, shall be released on bail of Rs.30,000/- with one suitable surety of like amount to the satisfaction of learned concerned court subject to the following conditions that the petitioner: (a) shall co-operate the remaining investigation.
