Order 30/06/2026 Instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:-
“It is, therefore, most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to allow this writ petition and- 1) by issue of an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature thereof quash and set aside the selections made on the
[2026:RJ-JP:23894] (2 of 2) [CW-6908/2003] basis of arbitrary lists sent by the State of Rajasthan to the Union Public Service Commission and also quash the consequential promotions made on the basis
of

selection
list; ii) by issue of an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature thereof direct the Respondents to make the selections as per the seniority list dated 19/7/2000, iii) by issue of an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature thereof direct to leave one post vacant for the Petitioner pending decision the present writ petition; and of iv) award costs of this writ petition to the Petitioner; and
v) grant such other and further relief/s, as may be deemed just and expedient in the facts and circumstances of the present case.” At the time of filing the petition in the year 2003, the petitioner was about 57 years old. I have perused the record. The matter relates to the grant of promotion. Since more than 20 years have elapsed, this Court is not inclined to interfere with promotions and seniority that have already attained finality. In my considered view, by efflux of time, the present writ petition has become infructuous. In that view of the matter, the present writ petition stands
disposed of, as having become infructuous.
