This writ petition was filed in 2020, seeking the following reliefs: “(A) Issue a writ or order in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to reduce the minimum monthly guaranteed duty payable to the respondents and fix it on the basis of the actual sale of the liquoг. (B) Issue a writ or order in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to surrender the license of the liquor shop situated at bus stand Rudrapur Udham Singh Nagar without imposing any penalty.” 3. Having regard to the reliefs claimed, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation, if he still has any grievance, to the competent authority within two weeks from today. 4. If he makes representation within the stipulated time, decision there upon shall be taken by Excise Commissioner, as per law, within three months thereafter.
