1. Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record.
2. The petitioner, even after an age relaxation given to her, was initially not permitted to offer her candidature for the first State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2016 on the ground of being overage.
3. The said acts of the commission and/or omission of the authorities were challenged and an order was passed on 09.07.2025 setting aside the rejection of the petitioner’s candidature for the first SLST 2016 and consequential direction was given to appoint her from the date of empanelment.
4. The petitioner had joined sometime in September 2025 pursuant to the order, though she had not been given an appointment from the date of empanelment, as directed in the said order.
5. The order has not been challenged and has been accepted by the authorities and has attained finality.
6. In view thereof, there is no reason for the authority nor was any reason disclosed at the time of hearing as to why the petitioner's appointment was made from the date of her joining and not from the date of empanelment.

7. In view of the afore-stated, the respondent no. 5 is directed to give effect to the appointment of the petitioner as an Assistant Teacher at the Upper Primary Level from the date of her empanelment on 26.09.2024 and to release and afford all consequential benefits, including length of service, seniority, incremental benefits and fixation of scale of pay (as applicable) as well as arrears of salary from 26.09.2024 to 06.09.2025, and grant fresh approval from the date of empanelment.
8. A consolidated sum of ₹5,000/- on account of interest for the period from 26.09.2024 till 06.09.2025 shall be paid on account of salary only.
9. The disbursements shall be made by respondent no. 5 by 15.05.2026.
10. With this direction, WPA/5337/2026 is disposed of. No order as to costs.
