Accordingly charge sheet has been submitted against accused Jhadia @ Jayadev Das.”
3. It is also stated in the report that on 12.11.2025, the Petitioner had given a complaint online alleging that on 31.10.2025 one Hrushikesh Das the father of the accused has threatened his wife Suna Das and 10 years minor son with dire consequences. But this allegation was enquired into and found to be false. On 15.12.2023 at about 6.40 PM the complainant Sebati Das wife of Jayadev Das of village Anakhasahi reported that her husband had been forwarded to jail in connection with an accident case in their village for which she had gone her parental house. On her return, she found that her house had been broken into. Household articles had been stolen and damaged and one motorcycle bearing Registration No. OD-22T- 2347, five gold rings, two pairs of bangles, one mangalsutra, three
pairs of earrings, two pairs of silver anklets, a Godrej almirah, an Alana, a bed, paddy, rice and a television.
Some household articles were set on fire and she alleged that the offences were committed by one Srinath Das, S/o-Keshab Das, Kanak Das, W/o-Gobinda Das, Guria Das, S/o- Gobinda Das, Ramesh Das (present Petitioner), Babu Das, both S/o-Trilochan Das, Nandini Das, W/o-Srinath Das, Bimala Das, W/o-Keshab Das of village Anakhasahi, P.S.- Chandabali, District-Bhadrak and some accused persons threatened to kill her by setting her on fire after pouring petrol and when she protested, they abused her by using derogatory words and using obscene gestures. She approached the village elders, but they refused to intervene for which she reported the matter at the Police Station. On the basis of her report, the IIC, Chandabali Police Station registered Chandabali P.S. Case No. 399 dated 15.12.2023 under Sections 379/ 435/ 509/ 294/ 506/ 34 of IPC and the Petitioner had been arrested on 12.12.2024. So the allegation that the Police assaulted the Petitioner has been denied and it is stated that he was arrested in connection with the case. 4. The Petitioner has complained that Hrushikesh Das and Haladar Das have been threatening his wife and family members on dire consequences but on enquiry the allegations were found to be
puspa false. The Petitioner has also stated these two persons have threatened him to settle the matter so that the accused Jayadev Das who is in bail can be released on custody and they have threatened that they will kill his family members if he does not do so. 5. Considering that investigation in Chandabali P.S. Case No. 399 of 2023 has already been completed, but the Petitioner apprehends danger to the life of his wife and son, because of the threats allegedly given by one Hrushikesh Das and Haladar Das, it is open to the Petitioner to file an application before the Superintendent of Police Bhadrak-Opposite Party No.2, for Police protection, which shall be dealt in accordance with law by Opposite Party No.2. 6.
