BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PARTHIVJYOTI SAIKIA ORDER Date : 25.06.2026 Heard Mr. K K Dey, the learned counsel appearing for the applicant. Also heard Mr. Bhaskar Sarma, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam.
2. This is an application under Section 430 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for suspension of sentence imposed upon the applicant by the learned Sessions Judge, Cachar, Silchar in Sessions Case No.176/2017 and for allowing the applicant to remain on previous bail.
3. I have gone through the impugned judgment passed by the Trial Court. I have also considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides.
4. It is hereby directed that the sentence imposed upon the applicant N.Jekey Singha by the learned Sessions Judge, Cachar, Silchar in Sessions Case No.176/2017 shall remain stayed till disposal of the connected Appeal
5. The applicant N.Jekey Singha is allowed to remain on previous bail till disposal of the connected Appeal.
