This contempt petition has been filed under Section 12 of The Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 alleging willful and deliberate contempt of Writ Court’s order dated 10.02.2026, passed in WPSS No.2169 of 2017, Kasturi Devi Vs. State of Uttarakhand and others, wherein Writ Court has directed the respondent no.2-Director, Urban Development Department, of the writ petition, to decide the representation of the petitioner within three months from the date of its receipt. 3. From perusal of the record, in particular, annexure no.4 of the writ petition, it is reflected that the representation submitted by the petitioner pursuant to the order passed by the Writ Court dated 10.02.2026 has been decided by the respondent-contemnor on 08.05.2026. 4. Thus the order of Writ Court has been complied with. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the decision taken by the respondent-contemnor is not in the light of the judgment rendered by Writ Court in WPSS No.924 of 2019, Bhagwati Devi Mathpal Vs. State of UKHC010132312026 2026:UHC:6525 2 Uttarakhand. 6. Be that as it may. The order passed by respondent no.2-Director, Urban Development Department, on the representation of the petitioner is correct or not, petitioner has the liberty to challenge the same before the Writ Court. 7. In the opinion of this Court no contempt is made out. 8. Accordingly contempt petition is dismissed.
