2. The petitioner, namely, Salim Uddin Laskar, has filed this application under Section 482 BNSS, 2023, with prayer for pre-arrest bail as he is apprehending arrest in connection with a case against his son alleging that he had induced the informant to pay Rs.78,00,000/- (Rupees Seventy-Eight Lakhs).

4. A report has been received from the Police Station that an FIR was lodged against the petitioner and his son with allegations of inducing the complainant to invest an amount of Rs.78,00,000/- (Rupees Seventy-Eight Lakhs) in a business transaction and thereafter, the entire amount invested by the complainant was misappropriated by the petitioner and his son.
5. It is submitted that as the petitioner is innocent and as he is apprehending arrest in connection with allegations primarily against his son, the petitioner has prayed for anticipatory bail.
6. As the report reveals that the petitioner had already appeared before the I.O and was allowed to go on a PR bond and that no case had been registered against him, it appears that there is no apprehension of arrest.
